XtraSense will log three types of events in system database:

 

camera log
sensor log
system log

 

Camera log contains all video and pictures recorded from all cameras. Sensor Log stores sensor's alarm history. And system log keeps all kind of system events like disk storage information, system boot up information, etc.

 

Switching Between Log Pages

You can use menu, button or short-cut key to switch among camera log, sensor log and system log.

Show Logs with Selected Dates

Log Analyzer will display all history logs on program start. You will need the calendar tool if you would like to limit the log display to certain range of days.

The Calendar Tool for Date Range Selection

 

Calendar tool will indicate today's date with red circle. To select a date range, click and hold mouse left button on any date you would like to set as the start date. Drag mouse cursor to the end date and release the button. You will see the days you selected are highlighted in gray color as shown in the picture above. The system will display only the camera logs, sensor logs and system logs that fall within the selected date range.

 

Sort Log Items

By default, all log items are sorted by event time descendingly. You will always see the latest log on top. If for any reason you want to sort the log items according to type, grade or camera number, you can always do so by clicking on the corresponding title bar.

Sort by Sensor ID

 

Picture above shows an example screen of sorting log items by sensor ID. The "-" sign behind the title "Sensor ID" indicates items are sorted descendingly.

 

Clear Logs

To clear log items, select an option from the list:

Logs will be automatically cleared from the oldest when system is running out of disk space. You can also delete selected logs only by clicking the delete button. To select multiple log items, hold left CTRL key and click on the item.
